"Captain Leslie" (aka Leslie Hellman) has been teaching

hands-on Science since 1995.  She has worked with the

Chicago Children's Museum, The Museum of Science and

Industry and The US Forest Service (among many

organizations and venues across the country) and has taught

enrichment classes for years at multiple schools around the

greater Los Angeles Area.  Leslie's Specialty is teaching

Science "in character" and captivating her students by

leading them through a dramatic process of discovering

Science while engaging their imaginations.  Captain Leslie's

Science emerged as she combined her teaching skills with

her love of non-traditional learning and whimsical creative

drama background and was launched in May of 2007.

 "Captain" Leslie (whose nickname comes from teaching in

Character in a Science Class, of course)  holds a BS in

Theatre from Northwestern University.
